Ghostbusters Headquarters (Fan boy project)
This is an ongoing hobby project. I started the Headquarters buildings in UE4 and ported them over to UE5. The Headquarters and buildings around are modular and I dropped it into the UE5 Matrix demo. For the ECTO1 car it is 8 million polygons in nanite made from a load of downloaded kits and then uprezed and remodelled here and there. I was going to topologies and bake it but I switched on Nanite - "Virtualized Geometry" as I wanted to test Nanite on a hard surface object. It seems to work well, the glass is a separate object as Nanite will drop any transparency. The material is just a bunch of world aligned materials to help give the car some dirt, it feels very hacky but fun to play with this new technology. This makes the model come in at 150mb in OBJ format so compared to textures its pretty good I guess? its just going to take me a bit of time to get my head around this new technology.
Any questions, idea or critique please let me know.
My next list of "to do" jobs, :)
